Holy Week
There are processions on Palm Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Holy Saturday.
The May Crosses
Very typical, where everyone takes to the streets and celebrates among neighbours.
Bonfires of San Juan
At the hermitage, everyone gathers on the night of San Juan, an excellent way to celebrate the beginning of summer.
Pilgrimage of María Auxiliadora
We celebrate it at the end of May, and we do it as before, with horse riders, flamencas and the smell of rosemary.
On Saturday it travels through the streets of the municipality and on Sunday we move it to the recreational area of San Pedro…
The Alanís Fair
It is in summer, on 8 August. It is celebrated in honour of the patron saint Virgen de las Angustias, with flamenco processions and, of course, Sevillanas.
Medieval days
At the end of August or beginning of September, with an epoch-making medieval market, parades, theatrical performances and fireworks.
Carnival in Alanís
An excellent example of how to enjoy it as much as anyone else. In Alanís we love carnival and there is no one in the village who is not in costume.
So now you know, all this and much more awaits you in Alanís.
See you in Alanís 🙂
